Building a City That Works for Everyone

A Community-Driven Platform for Eau Claire

Eau Claire deserves a city built for people—where housing is affordable, streets are safe for everyone, and our local economy thrives. I’m running to bring proactive, community-driven leadership to the council, ensuring every resident has a voice in shaping our future. With a focus on practical solutions and equity, I’ll push for policies that make Eau Claire a more accessible, connected, and livable city for all.

Investing in Affordable Housing

Eau Claire adopted the Housing First model in 2015, recognizing that stable housing is the foundation for success. But a severe shortage of affordable units continues to put renters, working families, seniors, and people with disabilities at risk.

I will fight for more low-income and accessible housing development to ensure everyone has a safe, stable home. This means cutting red tape, expanding city incentives for affordable projects, and prioritizing mixed-income neighborhoods.

Housing is more than just a roof—it’s about safe communities and essential services. I will work to enhance downtown safety, maintain public spaces, and support a Day Resource Center in partnership with Western Dairyland and Hope Gospel Mission, ensuring people have access to shelter, job assistance, and mental health resources.

No one should have to choose between housing, food, and healthcare. That’s why I support capping rent and mortgage costs at 33% of income—a fair threshold that keeps Eau Claire affordable for everyone.

Building Safe Streets and Infrastructure

Everyone deserves safe, reliable ways to get around Eau Claire—whether walking, biking, driving, or using public transit. But outdated infrastructure puts people at risk and limits mobility for seniors, families, and people with disabilities.

I will prioritize common-sense street design that reduces crashes, improves accessibility, and keeps all road users safe. This means advocating for better crosswalks, improved intersections, and well-maintained sidewalks and roads. We need smarter investments that support both safety and a strong local economy.

By designing streets that work for everyone—not just cars—we can create a more connected, accessible, and thriving Eau Claire.

Strengthening Our Local Economy

Eau Claire’s economy thrives when local businesses and residents succeed together. That starts with mixed-use development—neighborhoods where people can live, work, and shop without long commutes. I will push for policies that encourage local grocery stores, retail, and small businesses to be part of every community while keeping downtown a strong economic hub.

Small businesses are the backbone of Eau Claire. I will fight to expand access to city contracts, grants, and resources—especially for diverse and underrepresented entrepreneurs. Local vendors deserve a fair shot at public projects, and I will ensure our city invests in them.

A strong economy is a sustainable one. Walkable neighborhoods and reduced car reliance create vibrant business districts and long-term economic resilience. By fostering partnerships between the city, small businesses, and local organizations, we can build an economy that works for everyone—not just big developers.

A Vision For Eau Claire

Eau Claire should be a city where everyone can thrive. That means ensuring smart growth, investing in local businesses, and expanding access to affordable housing. Strong communities start with thoughtful city planning, where infrastructure works for people—not the other way around.

Safe streets, reliable public transit, and vibrant neighborhoods are essential to Eau Claire’s future. I believe in people-first policies that make our city more walkable, sustainable, and connected. By investing in housing, small businesses, and public spaces, we can build a more inclusive and thriving Eau Claire for generations to come.
